Recently, there are many foreign citizen of Chinese origin teachers are looking for English teaching positions in China. Most of them are really excellent, they have high education degrees, professional teaching certificate, wonderful teaching experience abroad, but most times they are refused to be hired by the Chinese schools. Why?

 

Here are the reasons:

1. 1, There is a prejudice that those foreign citizen of Chinese origin are not good at English, they may grow up in foreign countries, but they still just talk Chinese in their daily life, so their English is just so so.

For the schools: I think the opportunity to work with an excellent teacher is a happy thing, so there will be ideas to handle the situations listed above when you hire a foreign citizen of Chinese origin teacher. So try to don’t lose a great opportunity to hire a great teacher!

For the foreign citizen of Chinese origin teachers, you may feel said when you are refused by a school, but you should know, there will be many other jobs welcome you, such as to work as a translator, a foreign trader in a foreign company.
