ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION: I have extensive customer service employment experience with personalized attention focused on always achieving satisfaction for both customers and employers by consistently exceeding the expectations of both employers and customers as shown by exceptional service performance reviews, integrity, industriousness, and a focus on problem resolution. My desire to work internationally has been developed through vast multicultural experiences. I have worked in orphanages, schools, summer camps, churches, and other non-profit community service organizations in the U.S.A. and internationally. My wide array of experiences living and working with people from other cultures, and living and working in other cultures has instilled in me effective communication skills, responsibility, independence, resourcefulness, and discipline in my professional and social engagements.
As a recent Hope College graduate from the United States of America, I am actively seeking employment as an English teacher in China. The benefits and opportunities available as an English teacher to foreigners are unattainable through any other program. Given my passion for working with people and my past multicultural experiences, including previous TEFL teaching and tutoring experience in the U.S. and in China, I am confident my experiences, skills, and interests qualify me for employment. I am eager to join this stimulating and rewarding professional environment and would greatly appreciate your consideration of me as a candidate.
During my undergraduate studies, I traveled a significant amount as a participant in Hope College’s study abroad programs, for missions work, and for pleasure with family and friends. My travels gave me the opportunity to interact cooperatively with people from diverse cultures and successfully engage in local customs and daily responsibilities. Traveling fostered my aspirations to work in multicultural environments with those from different backgrounds and cultural beliefs than my own to help implement social change in terms of education, living, and working standards for them as they learn English.
The professional, yet very personal and social, environment that the opportunity as an English teacher offers greatly appeals to my extroverted personality and will allow me to utilize my excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong leadership skills. I will provide the students with a confident, energetic, and passionate young man who is willing to perform any duties that may be required while focusing on helping the students learn English better every day. My goal as teacher is to instill the desire and passion that each student will want to become fluent in English by providing my services to improve their education and social experiences.
As a diligent, efficient, and reliable worker who takes initiative to assume leadership and responsibility, I assure that I am a more than competent applicant for employment. The expectations and responsibilities will be challenging yet exciting, as I am eager to perform at the highest level and exemplify my strong leadership and organizational skills. Working as an English teacher will give me the inner joy of knowing that I am helping others who want to learn another language, and it is this joy that I will gain that will be my measure of success. As a native English teacher, I understand the importance and effect I will have on influencing the students' desires to continue to study English at a higher level, and I will thrive with this challenge. Integrity, enthusiasm, and honesty are very important to me and will be brought to my work environment each day.
I am currently living in Hangzhou, China. I am immediately available for an interview and subsequent employment. I appreciate your consideration of my application and look forward to hearing from you soon.
