•    This programme was organised by the University of Manchester, and I was successful in my application to take this opportunity, as part of my pursuit of learn fluency in Mandarin.

July 2012         AkzoNobel         International Paint’s Yacht R&D                    
•    4 weeks employment due to “Winning” the George Hails Chemistry Award run by AkzoNobel
•    Working inside the laboratory producing untested prototypes
•    Trained to make samples with precision and to test-standard
•    The opportunity to work in International Paint’s Hartlepool Site, an area where the paints are tested
•    Set up new tests and observed and recorded the results of the previous.

Raised £3000 through sponsorships and provide adequate evidence that I had researched the country and ecosystem.

Literacy Leader             Park View Community School

I worked as a Literacy Leader for the younger students of the school. The students were of lower ability and needed extra help to pass exams. It was my responsibility to aid them in reading fluently and improve their levels of grammar, in order to attain a good grade.

Promoter                 London Cycle Show

Selected for a five member team in exhibiting a newly launched product, Breeze Blockers, I promoted to attendees and demonstrated the product to cyclists and other interested parties.
