· Cleaning screens after movies, taking tickets and directing people to screens, security, ensuring the bathrooms and halls were clean, changing the cylinders for drinks and gas, maintenance, locking the premises at night, turning on/off the sound and 3D projectors. Ensure that the movie starts on time, the picture is clear and the sound is working correctly.
· In addition to those ushering duties, my responsibilities as head usher included recruitment and training, constantly monitoring the efficiency of my team’s work and ensuring every employee in the building was recycling correctly.
· I also worked on the tills (cinema and coffee dock) where I learned valuable lessons about sales and efficiently helping customers.

· I observed practice and helped a child who needed one-to-one who wasn’t granted a special needs assistant (under teacher supervision). I also organised soccer for a group of seven year olds at lunch time and helped the Gaelic coaches once a week after school. Sometimes I assisted the teacher with activities such as art and hand-writing but always under teacher supervision. I established a positive rapport with children and was an excellent role model. My skills were vastly improved, I gained exceptional experience and my enthusiasm for working as a teacher was further enhanced.

· Aside from the ushering duties and being on concession in Loco, at Flix I set up the bowling, put people into the waterballs and worked in the casino on my own. In the casino I ensured that the customers were satisfied by offering free food\drink, dealt with pay-outs, ensured that the balance was correct at the end of the night, storing the money safely, locking the door, security and repairing machines.
