English Teacher: I have been teaching ESL for 13 years fulltime in South Korea at all levels from　Kindergarten through to advanced adults. I was a High School Teacher in Thailand for 6 months, as well　as an English teacher to Asian émigrés in NZ. I was a prize winner for excellence at an EPIK Public School　Teachers national training program. I was a Senior Teacher at the Sogang University Language Program in Busan. I am currently employed at Pagoda Academy, Gangnam, Seoul, where I teach mostly young adults Conversational and Business English. I have been consistently accredited each month as an above average teacher for the last two years.

Achievements

I have enjoyed coaching students of all ages as well as other teachers towards English mastery as well as winning speech contests; I have successfully upgraded and referenced 4 faculty rooms; i have decorated 2 entire schools with educational displays. I specialise in introducing powerful multi-media learning software and classroom methods. I have experience in teaching English as a second language using Maths, Science, Art, Music, Drama, Physical Education and Social Studies.

Achievements: I took a Senior Officer’s caseload within the first 3 months. I routinely gave sentencing reports to District Court Judges within very tight deadlines after interviewing criminals and their affiliates. I trained to performance level 2 new Officers in the use of systems software and interviewing techniques. I successfully ran a monthly rehabilitation Education Group for ex-offenders.

Group Counsellor: 2 years at Man Alive Counselling Service, Waitakere City, NZ.

Achievements: I managed education and therapy groups for men sentenced by local Courts.

I taught a wide variety of stress management and communication skills.

I trained 4 novice counsellors to service level.

• Using wide range of teaching methods from intense 1-1 structured interviews to action methods in group-work. Ensuring the learning environment is safe and challenging.

Mental Health Trainer: 18 months at Auckland Healthcare, NZ.

Achievements: I designed, delivered and evaluated 3 day educational workshops and 12 week long courses on the psychological and social care of mental health clients. I had a wide range of students – from first time care assistants through to experienced psychiatrists.

Community Mental Health Social Worker: 4 years at Auckland Healthcare, NZ.
