Art and Drama – I specialised in Art and Drama within my University course and have utilised many of the techniques to help give meaningful purpose to the learning. I am a keen artist, who has created various backdrops for school productions, as well as other paintings which have been used at different music events. Whilst in Ghana I helped paint the orphanage and classroom. I have also written and produced a number of different school productions.

Global links – I have been a part of the Global meetings within the school. Helping to develop the Rights and Respecting Award and Fair Trade. As part of this we travelled to Ghana to help support a school we are linked with. We also raised money for the Night School for street children.

Sport – I regularly played cricket for a team in Shanghai. I also like to play squash, go rock climbing and other outdoor pursuit activities (caving, mountaineering, orienteering and rafting etc.) 

Travelling abroad – In addition to working and living in Shanghai and travelling to Ghana, working on the ships has allowed me to experience many parts of the world and different cultures. I have travelled from Alaska to Rio de Janeiro as well as all around Europe. Bringing these experiences to the students I have taught has been invaluable.
