§  Business:Edited and   proofreadinterim and annual reports, marketing and training materials,   handbooks, websites, funding proposals, resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn   profiles, restaurant menusand English teaching materials, ensuring that   theEnglish translation and messaging was accurate, well written and   professional.

§  Academic:English writing   tutor, editor and proofreader for academic essays, reports and school   applications for high school and university students.

Teaching:

§  I teach   reading, writing and phonics to Chinese students planning to study abroad. I   also tutor children online (grades 1 – 9), in reading, grammar, and speaking   skills, supplementing the Chinese government mandated curriculum.

§  I   planned, prepared and delivered engaging ESL classes at an international   school, teaching students in every grade, from senior kindergarten to high   school.9 of my students graduated out of the ESL   program at the end of the year.

§  Developed   and delivered a program to teach children with developmental disabilities   social and independent living skills, including basic cooking, grocery   shopping, and meal planning.

§  Designed and implemented a cross-curriculum   service-learning project. The 6-month project taught middle school and high   school students about the role of food in society, in a global context.

§  Establishedand managed the ESL program at   an international school, in addition to facilitating all WIDA testing, to   determine student eligibility, placement, and progress in the ESL program.

§  Led corporate training sessions in business   communication, mindfulness and creativity in the workplace. Selected as an educator   for the British Council’s first paid online MOOCcourse.

§    Redesigned a city-wide Palliative Education training program to   address and support the learning abilities of palliative care volunteers.

§  Developed and delivered staff training on   customer service, volunteer management, disability awareness, report writing,   grant seeking and partnership development.
