English Teacher, September 2018 - Present

As an English teacher I design, plan and deliver English lessons to over five hundred students a week. I am responsible for teaching students in grade one and grade five. Since my arrival in September I have:

· Encouraged all students to speak and communicate more confidently with their peers and teachers.

· Worked closely with students to improve their pronunciation through carefully planned phonics lessons.

· Improved all students’ ability to write and speak in a more creative and natural way by using native vocabulary in lessons.

· Engaged in extra-curricular activities such as preparing students for an English performance in the school’s annual talent show.

Private English Tutor, 2014 - Present

Whilst studying at the University of York I worked part-time as a private English tutor. I have continued this work in China and currently teach students varying in age and ability.

· I carefully tailor my lessons to meet the demands of my client’s personal aims and goals.

I design fun and interesting games for very young students to ensure my lessons are as engaging as possible.
