Freelance photojournalist & journalist (2013 - 2015)

I started off as an intern in one of the oldest newspaper publications in the country. I conducted reportage of current affairs and general news stories and documented images for both print and online publications. Employing my research, interviews, fact-checking, writing and photography. During my time with the paper I had the opportunity to work under seasoned mentors who assisted me in enhancing my writing and photography skills. While there I learned how to work with international wires to source stories for online and print editions. I grew in leaps and bounds as a writer and always had to be one step ahead which meant I developed the discipline on reading at least three different newspapers daily. This is something I continue to do and I believe that my thirst to stay current with affairs gives me an all-round understanding of live beyond my surroundings an edge that I believe will keep me competitive.
