I successfully prepared both skills lessons and language focus lessons. 

I developed the skills and professionalism required to give effective student centered lessons. I also developed an awareness of learning styles, needs and cultural factors of my students which played a very important part in establishing good rapport with them. I found out one of my key strengths as a teacher was being able to adjust my own use of language in the classroom so that students could comprehend my teaching better. 

This experience also exposed me to 3 different levels: Elementary, pre intermediate and upper intermediate.

Private individual tuition (July 2013 – Current) Auckland, NZ

I currently teach privately to 2 individual students from China and Korea. I contributed to one of my student’s success in passing her IELTS test. The lessons are mainly grammar focus lessons with a small portion of time allotted for developing oral skills.

Through this experience, I have become more familiar with the IELTS testing system. The fact that these were individual tutoring sessions also challenged me to come up with new strategies on keeping lessons interesting.
