Employer: Convent of Mercy Secondary School Roscommon

Duties Supervised evening study in the Convent of Mercy secondary school in Roscommon Town. I was responsible for making sure there was no disruptions and keeping a record on all attending the evening study.

Date: Sept-Oct 2013

Employer: Roscommon Community College.

Duties: I spent 5 weeks as a substitute teacher in the school. This gave me valuable classroom experience. I thought classes in history and geography as they are my two degree subjects. I corrected homework and tests aswell as preparing them for upcoming exams. I also gained experience in maintaining discipline in the classroom and on how to keep the concentration of the students by varying the methods used to teach eg: different games, videos, group work.

Date: Summers 2011-2013 

Employer : Feurty Tennis School.

Duties: Worked with a group of 20 Children boys and girls from the ages of 6 -13 teaching them tennis. I thought them all the basics of tennis through fun games and matches. I was solely responsible for the Children during their 2 hour session every week. This meant I had to encourage each of them and teach them the importance of having fun when playing/learning and that winning is not everything. 

Date: September 2013-present.

Employer: IMC cinema group, Headford Road, Galway City.

Duties: Supervisor of all general staff. As supervisor I am the link between management and staff, ensuring all daily jobs and duties are performed properly. I also deal with any customer queries or complaints and make the educated decision on what the best way to deal with these queries. I also have the responsibility of lodging all moneys brought in each day and lodging it into the secure safe on site.

Date: December 2011- January 2013

Employer: Edel O Grady, Flix Cinema and Leisure, Roscommon.

Duties:  Cashier at the front of house, constantly dealing with customers. In the last five months of my employment I was cashing up all the tills at the end of the night as well as locking up the premises. I was also in-charge of staff and encouraged them to upsell where at all possible.

Date: Summer 2007, 2008, 2009.

Employer: Sinead Hynes.

Duties: Teaching kids how to play tennis, various games etc. Responsible for their welfare at all times and ensuring their safety.
