Describe: Post involves creating, implementing and executing unique lesson plans weekly for 10-14 unique ESL classes. Describe: This role had me tutor college courses heavy in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) facets of academia. My pupils were students who enrolled in the university’s numerous pre-medical, pre-dental or pre-engineering programs while having a low SAT or ACT (standardized college entrance test) score. The job also consisted of mentoring three students in the Science Partnership for Undergraduate Recruitment, Retention and Success (SPURRS) program. This post mandated meeting with them bi-weekly and charting their success in class, intervening and directing the students to on-campus resources as needed.
